The fluorine plastic used for making fluoroplastic tube is a kind of material with good heat resistance, cold resistance, weather resistance, drug resistance, solvent resistance, excellent insulation and high frequency electrical performance, and can reflect the characteristics of non-drying, self-lubricity, low friction coefficient, etc. With such good performance, fluoroplastic tube is so different.

Of course, there are differences between fluorine plastics, such as PTFE and FEP are entirely composed of carbon and fluorine atoms; But PVDF and PVC molecule also contain hydrogen atoms, PTFCE also contains chlorine atoms, these excellent properties of fluorine plastics are achieved by the high binding between carbon atoms and fluorine atoms. The main chain of PTFE is carbon atom, and it’s completely surrounded by fluorine atom, so the performance of all aspects is the highest; PFA, FEP, ETFE and other fluoring plastic due to the influence of the side group, softening point low PTFE, other properties have also changed, so that there are differences in the performance of various fluoroplastic tubes.

Fluorine plastics have the characteristics of flame resistance and excellent heat resistance. The continuous temperature of PTFE and PFA can reach 260℃, and the temporary temperature can be used at 300℃. The temperature of FEP is 60℃ lower than them. PTFE can be used at 120℃. But when fluoroplastic tube is used for a long time below high temperature, also can cause crystallinity change.

Fluorine plastics have excellent drug resistance and solvent resistance, especially PTFE, PFA and FEP. They can’t be etched by acid, alkali and solvent, but molten alkali metal, fluorine, chlorofluorocarbons have different influence on them, so it need pay more attention to the using for fluoroplastic tube.

The electrical properties of fluorine plastics, especially the high frequency electrical properties are much better than other materials, that is because their molecules are very low polarity, in a very wide range of temperature, small frequency changes, relatively stable dielectric constant, low dielectric loss, and excellent electrical insulation. In addition, fluorine plastics still have good mechanical properties, not viscous, weather resistance, hate water, so that fluoroplastic tube can be widely used in various industries.
